BEIJING, July 27 (Xinhuanet) -- The renowned film producer Xu Feng has accepted the invitation to be a panel judge at the Venice Film Festival, reported CRIENGLISH.com.

Xu Feng is famous for her cooperation with director Chen Kaige in "Farewell, My Concubine", which won the Palme d'Or at the Cannes Film Festival ten years ago.

Meanwhile, this year's Festival will be opened with Steven Spielberg's new film "The Terminal", starring Tom Cruise as a European refugee falling in love in an airport.

It is the second time Xu Feng has been invited to be judge at the Venice Film Festival.

The festival will be held in August.
