ISLAMABAD, July 25 (Xinhuanet) -- Afghan President Hamid Karzai called his Pakistani counterpart Pervez Musharraf Sunday and requested that his visit to Pakistan scheduled for July 26 and 27 be postponed for a short time, according to a Foreign Office spokesman.

The exact date for Karzai's visit would be worked out through diplomatic channels, the spokesman said.

He added that as the visit had been postponed for Afghanistan's internal reasons, it is expected to be rescheduled shortly. Enditem
