China, Vietnam to strengthen exchanges

    BEIJING, July 21 (Xinhuanet) -- Senior officials with the Communist Party of China (CPC) and the Communist Party of Vietnam (CPV) agreed here Wednesday to strengthen the exchanges and cooperation between the two parties.

    Liu Yunshan, a member of the Political Bureau and member of theSecretariat of the CPC Central Committee, and Truong Tan Sang, member of the Political Bureau of the CPV Central Committee, had ameeting and reached consensus on inter-party exchanges.

    Liu, also head of the Publicity Department of the CPC Central Committee, said Sino-Vietnamese relations have seen all-round development and China is willing to work with the Vietnamese side to implement the consensus reached by the state leaders and enhance mutual trust and mutually beneficial cooperation so as to push forward the healthy and steady growth of bilateral relations.

    Sang, also director of the CPV Central Committee's Economic Commission, said the CPV and the Vietnamese government have attached importance to Vietnam-China relations and are willing to enhance bilateral relations.

    Liu also briefed the guests on China's socio-economic development. Enditem
