LONDON, July 14 (Xinhuanet) -- British police on Wednesday arrested 45 people in connection with alleged child pornography offenses in Greater Manchester, northwest England.

    Police swooped on the houses of the suspects at 0700 BST (0600 GMT) and seized computers on suspicion of accessing indecent images of children on the Internet, the BBC reported.

    The arrested are due to be questioned later Wednesday, it added.

    More than 500 policemen were involved in the operation codenamed Baglan, Greater Manchester police were quoted as saying. Enditem
