BEIJING, July 14 (Xinhuanet) -- Fahrenheit 9/11 continues to knock down its documentary rivals around the world with another broken box office record in the UK.

It grossed over 1.3 million pounds in its opening weekend, the best ever for a documentary in the UK, reported CRIENGLISH.com.

    The previous record was also held by a Michael Moore film, Bowling for Columbine, with nearly 160 thousand pounds in the equivalent period.

    In the US, Fahrenheit 9/11 has become the first documentary to reach the number one box office spot.
