GAZA, July 10 (Xinhuanet) -- A report issued by the Palestinian Center for Human Rights in Gaza revealed Saturday that a total of 17 Palestinians were shot dead by the Israeli army in the first week of July.

   Among the 17 killed, six were children, said the report, adding that all of them were killed in Israeli incursions and raids on Palestinian towns and villages.

   In addition to the killings, the army had destroyed dozens of Palestinian houses and detained tens of Palestinians in the territories, the report said.

   It accused Israel of using excessive force against Palestinians. Enditem
