BERLIN, July 9 (Xinhuanet) -- US Marine Corporal Wassef Ali Hassoun who vanished in Iraq arrived Friday at a U.S. Air Force base in Germany.

    Hassoun arrived in Germany aboard a C-17 transport plane and was immediately taken away to nearby Landstuhl Regional Medical Center.

    He is expected to return to the United States in 3 to 4 days, hospital spokeswoman Marie Shaw said.

    Hassoun vanished near a US base the Iraqi city of Fallujah and turned himself over to the US embassy in Beirut on Thursday. Enditem
