GAZA, July 7
(Xinhuanet) -- An Israeli helicopter gunship fired missiles at a car in Gaza
City on Wednesday in an attempt to kill three Palestinian militants, but wounded
three bystanders instead, witnesses and security sources
said.
; The three militants were in the Mercedes-Benz car when
two missiles were fired from helicopter, but they managed to jump out of the car
shortly before its front was hit.
Palestinian sources said
the three militants are members of the Izel Dein al Qassam, Hamas movement's
armed wing.
Medical sources said three civilian bystanders
were injured, one of them a five-year-old boy who had moderate
injuries.
Witnesses said earlier the Apache chopper fired
two missiles at the local car that drove in the northern part of Gaza City on
the way up to Jabalya town, apparently killing two Palestinian
militants.
However, Palestinian security sources denied later that two Palestinian militants were killed, adding that only three bystanders were moderately injured. Enditem |
