GAZA, July 7
(Xinhuanet) -- The Israel army raided the eastern area of Deir El-Balah town in
the central Gaza Strip on Wednesday and forced about 15 residents to evacuate
the area, Palestinian sources said.
A number of Israeli military machineries raided the area, forcing the Palestinian families to evacuate their homes
before bulldozing the houses, the sources said.
They added
the number of Palestinian houses demolished by the Israel army in the area was
not yet known because of the intensive Israeli military siege imposed on the
area.
This military raid was perpetrated only a few hours
after the Israeli army's pullout from Al-Barazil neighborhood in the
southern Gaza Strip city of Rafah, where they had shelled the neighborhood and
injured five Palestinians.
In the meantime, the Israeli
force resumed for the tenth day its large-scale military operation in the
northern town of Beit Hanoun where a large area of Palestinian owned
agricultural lands and animal farms were completely razed.
Early on Wednesday, the Israel army also carried out a military raid in the West
Bank town of Tulkarem and stormed a number of houses before pulling
out.
In another development, the Israel army launched on
Wednesday widespread land razing campaigns near the military roadblock of
Al-Kafam on Wadi El-Nar Road that links between the southern and northern areas
of the West Bank.
The Israel army announced that it will confiscate 5,000 donoms (570 hectares) of Palestinians' lands in the area in order to expand the roadblock and turn it to a permanent checkpoint that separates Jerusalem from the surrounding cities and towns. Enditem |
