GAZA, July 6
(Xinhuanet) -- Israeli troops demolished three Palestinian houses Tuesday in the
Al-Barazil neighborhood of the southern Gaza Strip city of Rafah, Palestinian
security sources said.
The Israeli forces also injured a Palestinian during random shellings in the neighborhood, the sources said.
The Israeli troops, backed by 30 tanks and a military bulldozer,stormed into the
neighborhood near the borderline with Egypt amid intensive and random shootings,
they said.
Witnesses and sources said the Israeli tanks'
shellings inflicted severe damage to the houses and the Israeli military
bulldozers started razing a number of homes.
Witnesses,
meanwhile, reported that armed clashes had erupted between Israeli troops and
Palestinian resistance men, causing material damage to a number of
houses.
Israeli military sources, on the other hand, said that three Israeli soldiers were injured in these clashes, but described their injuries as minor. Enditem |
