GAZA, July 6 (Xinhuanet) -- Israeli army launched a predawn raid against
the Ein Beitelma refugee camp in the heart of the northern West Bank city of
Nablus on Tuesday, killing four Palestinians, Palestinian sources said.
According to the sources, Israeli military Apache helicopters shelled the refugee camp
after it was surrounded by large number of Israeli soldiers.
Among the four killed Palestinians were Yamen Faraj, a leader ofthe Abu Ali
Mustafa's Brigades, the military wing of the Popular Front for the Liberation of
Palestine (PFLP), and his aid, while the other two were Khaled Saleh, a
university professor and his son Mohamad, the sources said.
Meanwhile, Israeli sources said that an Israeli military officerwas killed
and three other soldiers were injured during the operation.
The Israeli troops are still deployed around the refugee camp and keep
shelling the camp's buildings and houses, eyewitnesses said, adding that
numerous explosions are heard inside the refugee camp and the nearby areas.
