Fatah condemns Israeli military operation in Gaza
www.chinaview.cn 2004-07-05 21:27:47

GAZA, July 5 (Xinhuanet) -- The Fatah movement on Monday condemned the Israeli military escalation in the northern Gaza Strip town of Beit Hanoun as well as the military airstrikes in different areas of the strip.

The Fatah strongly condemns the Israeli military operation in Beit Hanoun as well as the huge destruction caused to the town's infrastructure and public services, the movement said in a communique.

It also condemned the Israeli military Apache's attacks on a number of manufacturing shops late on Sunday in different parts of the strip.

The Israeli military incursion into Beit Hanoun would lead to further deterioration and lack of security, the statement said, adding that Israel's constant targeting of Palestinians and their leadership would only bring about more tragedies to the region, especially to Israelis.

Meanwhile, the movement called on the international community with all its countries and institutions, particularly the United Nations and Quartet Committee, to assume their responsibility and immediately interfere in order to pressure Israel to halt its military aggressions. Enditem¡¡
