GAZA, July 4 (Xinhuanet) -- A Palestinian was killed early Sunday by the Israeli army near the West Bank city of Nablus, Israeli sources said.

According to the sources, the Palestinian attacked Israeli soldiers stationed at the entrance of the Jewish settlement of Har Brakha before being shot dead in the crossfire.

The army found a Kalashnikov machine gun near the body of the killed whose identity was still unknown, the sources said.

The killing in Nablus has brought to six the death toll of Palestinians by the Israeli forces in the West Bank and Gaza Strip during the past 24 hours.  Enditem
