GAZA, July 3 (Xinhuanet) -- A Palestinian official revealed on Saturday that the Palestinian National Authority (PNA) has a full security plan to take over the Gaza Strip once Israel pulls out from it.
Hassan Abu Lebda, Prime Minister Ahmed Qurei's chief of staff, told the Voice of Palestine radio that the security plan aims at bringing the situation back to the status before the Palestinian Intifada (Uprising) in September 2000.
The plan has been set up after coordination with all the Palestinian national and Islamic factions and militants groups, he said, adding the plan would be implemented within five weeks.
Abu Lebda said that according to the plan, within five weeks, the Palestinian police and security forces would redeploy all over the Gaza Strip in any area evacuated by the Israeli army.
Earlier last week, Palestinian security chiefs had revealed that they had set up the security plan with the different Palestinian factions and it would be implemented as soon as the Israeli army pulls out from the Gaza Strip. Enditem
