Aussie White breaks collarbone to miss Tour de France

    BRUSSELS, July 3 (Xinhuanet) -- Australian rider Matthew White will miss the Tour de France this year after breaking his collarbone in a training accident in Liege on Saturday.

    His Cofidis team confirmed that White, who was previewing the 6.1km prologue course ahead of the start, is belived to have crashedinto a rail which was covering some cables.

    The 30-year-old rider joined Cofidis with the hope of riding the big Tours, and especially the Tour de France, after spending two years with Lance Armstorng's US Postal team. Enditem
