GAZA, June 30 (Xinhuanet) -- Foreign diplomatic sources revealed Wednesday that the Israel Army intended to build a new security wall on the borders between the northern Gaza Strip town of BeitHanoun and Israel.

They said Israeli army planned to stay in the town for three weeks to stop Palestinian militants firing al Qassam homemade rockets at Israel and to build the new wall as well.

The Israeli military stormed on Monday night the village of BeitHanoun exactly on the borders between northern Gaza Strip and Israel, saying that the aim of the operation was to stop militants firing al Qassam rockets at southern Israel.

On Monday and Tuesday, the militants of Islamic Resistance Movement (Hamas) fired several Qassam rockets at the Israeli town of Sderot, killing one Israeli and injuring six others.

Then Israeli army sent reinforcement of tanks, armored vehicles and bulldozers to the village and completely isolated it from the rest of the strip, killing one Palestinian and wounding 15 others.

Israel has been building a security fence in the West Bank, aiming at preventing Palestinians from crossing into Israel tocarry out suicide bombing attacks.

In Rafah, on the borders between southern strip and Egypt, the Israeli army has built a metal security wall, saying that the aimis to prevent smuggling weapons in Gaza through tunnels dug byPalestinians under the borders.

During the process of Israeli building security walls in the West Bank and Gaza Strip, wide areas of Palestinians' cultivated lands are either razed or confiscated. Enditem
