Israeli army expand operation in northern Gaza

   GAZA, June 30 (Xinhuanet) -- The Israel Army on Wednesday continued its widespread military operation in the northern Gaza Strip town of Beit Hanoun for the third day running, Palestinian sources reported.

   They said the Israeli military had intensified its deployment around the town.

   Local medical sources said the number of Palestinians injured by the Israeli tanks' shelling mounted to 15, many of them are children.

   The Israeli army resumed large-scale razing campaigns against Palestinians' lands and kept imposing siege and closure on the town's exits and entrances.

   Palestinian sources said that the Israeli force had heavily shelled overnight on Palestinians' houses in the eastern area of the Gaza city and Al-Amal neighborhood in the southern Gaza Stripcity of Kahn Younis.

   They said that the shelling didn't cause any injuries among the residents, but adding that the Israeli soldiers had demolished two Palestinian houses in the Central Gaza Strip.

   In the meantime, a number of Israeli soldiers raided earlier the northern West bank city of Nablus and its adjacent refugee camp of Balata amid intensive shooting.

   The sources said that the Israel Army stormed into a number of houses before turning them into military posts and still stationed in the streets of Nablus city, arresting at least seven residents.

   In another development, Palestinian medical sources in the southern city of Hebron reported the a Palestinian child was wounded due to the explosion of an Israeli military bomb.

   The Israel Army also raided the northern town of Tulkarem and imposed tight curfew on the nearby village of Qessin, in addition to carrying out arrest campaigns among its residents.  

   The Israeli military has been lately intensifying its raids against the northern West Bank town of Tulkarem and the surrounding villages, where it has already confiscated 70 percent of the villages' lands for the construction of the Israeli separation wall.  Enditem
