GAZA, June 30 (Xinhuanet) -- Chief of Palestinian General Intelligence Services Amin Hindi said Wednesday that the security plan formulated by the Palestinian National Authority (PNA) will be implemented within five weeks.
The PNA announced recently that it had formulated a security plan to reinstate order in the Gaza Strip after the Israel Army evacuate the strip under Israeli Prime Minister Ariel Sharon's unilateral plan.
Hindi told reporters that "the PNA security plan is based on the principle of the supremacy of law and regulations and will be implemented within five weeks after the Israeli evacuation of the strip."
He added that relevant workshops have been organized and a number of Palestinian security officials have been trained for the implementation of the plan.
However, he said the security plan will be implemented whether Israel evacuates the strip or not, adding "security is a national Palestinian need rather than an outside demand." Enditem |
