GAZA, June 24 (Xinhuanet) -- Al-Aqsa brigades, the military wing ofPalestinian mainstream Fatah movement, rejected on Thursday anyattempts to reach a cease-fire with Israel and reiterated itscommitment to the choice of resistance.
A leaflet noted that "the brigades oppose any projects of trucewith the Zionist enemy until it (Israel) commits to theinternational legitimacy and peace process through specific termsand accords that meet with Palestinians' aspirations."The brigades has presented to the Fatah movement a planexplaining the brigades' vision about the future of the Palestiniansociety, which aims at building an organized society that abides bythe law and its institutions' regulations, noted the leaflet.
In the leaflet, the brigades, meanwhile, called on "putting anend to corruption and incompetence within the Fatah movement andthe Palestinian National Authority (PNA)" and "discharging allcorrupt officials who stole the Palestinian people's resources."It also urged for forming a judiciary committee to investigateand punish those responsible for frauds and corruption,particularly those who take advantage of the PNA's budgets andtreasury for the benefits of their families.
"It is necessary to open job opportunities to Palestinians withcompetence and professionalism and providing jobs for the familiesof prisoners and martyrs and guaranteeing their shares in the workmarket," it added.
Meanwhile, the brigades stressed on the necessity of holdingelections within the Fatah movement, saying that the mandate of thecurrent Fatah officials has already expired.
"We call on re-organizing the institutions of the PalestineLiberation Organization (PLO) and allow all Palestiniansdisregarding their political affiliation to participate in theseinstitutions."
The brigades has already presented a plan to leader YasserArafat, Prime Minister Ahmad Qurei and other PNA and Fatahinstitutions that calls on holding democratic elections andimplementing reforms, stressed the leaflet. Enditem
