BEIJING, June 24 (Xinhuanet) -- Celebrated Hong Kong director Wong Kar Wai, is now waiting for approval to shoot a biography film of veteran artist Zhou Xuan, reported CRIENGLISH.com.

    Zhou Xuan, who was once a famous actress and singer, died at the age of 39 in 1957. She made her name in the film Street Angel.

    The leading roles are set to be given to Palme d'Or -winning actress Maggie Cheung and mainland actress Dong Jie.

    Dong Jie will play the young Zhou Xuan, while Maggie will play the adult character.
