JAKARTA, June 22 (Xinhuanet) -- Oil producer countries of non-Organization of Petroleum Countries (OPEC) such as Russia, Oman, and Mexico, were urged to increase their crude oil output to stabilize the world oil price.

OPEC president Purnomo Yusgiantoro, who is also Indonesian minister of oil and mineral resources, said here Tuesday that the OPEC member countries had boosted their production to their nearlymaximum capacity, except one or two countries in the Middle East.

"We urged them to boost production," said Yusgiantoro who believed that those countries would respond to it, because other developing countries also had the request.

At a recent meeting in Beirut, it was decided that the OPEC would increase production to 26 million barrels per day.

On the world oil price, Yusgiantoro said that it was difficult to predict the price in the summer season. However, he was optimistic that the price would fall in 2005. Enditem
