LIMA, June 16 (Xinhuanet) -- At least six people were killed and nine others
injured after a bus fell off a cliff in the jungles ofcentral Peru, the Peruvian
police said Wednesday.
The accident occurred near Rio Negro, in the state of Junin, 400 km east of
Lima. Police said it was caused by the slippery road conditions after rain.
Among those killed are a baby, two children, a woman and two men. The
rescue workers have taken the wounded to the regional hospital.
This road accident was the fourth serious one so far this month.A total of
20 Peruvians have been killed in road accidents in June.Enditem
