KABUL, June 12 (Xinhuanet) -- Two more suspects in connection withthe killing of 11 Chinese workers in Afghanistan were arrested Saturday, General Mohammad Daud, military commander of Kunduz in northern Afghanistan, said.
A group of armed men attacked a Chinese workers' compound in Jelogir area, 36 km away from Kunduz city at around 01:00 a.m. Thursday morning, killing 11 workers and injuring four others.
"We arrested these two suspects from Baghlan province today, and took them to Kunduz for interrogation," Daud told Xinhua through telephone.
Earlier on Friday, two suspects in this connection were arrested. Daud declined to give more details due to security reasons.
General Daud said Friday that five persons were involved in thegruesome attack. He also promised to bring all those involved in the heinous crime to justice very soon. Enditem |
