KABUL, June 10 (Xinhuanet) -- Remains of the 11 Chinese workers killed in the terrorist attack in Afghan northern Kunduz province will be transferred to Kabul by Afghan military helicopters on Thursday while the four injured will be transferred by a German C-130 aircraft to the capital for further treatment.

The two helicopters are scheduled to arrive in Kabul at 9:30 am(local time) on Friday and the remains will be kept temporarily in Kabul Army Hospital.

The four injured workers will be transferred to a German medical facility in Pul-e-Charkhi east of Kabul for further treatment. Two hundred German soldiers are currently stationed in Kunduz province.

A group of some 20 armed men charged into the Chinese construction workers' compound early Thursday morning and began the cold-blooded attack, about 36 km outside the city of Kunduz.

The attack, which reportedly lasted 10 minutes, left 11 dead and four others wounded, one of them in critical condition.

The victims were part of the team working on the Kunduz-Baghlanroad, a project funded by the World Bank.

Chinese ambassador to Afghanistan Sun Yuxi has rushed to the Kunduz province and held talks with local authorities on the issue.Enditem
