KABUL, June 10 (Xinhuanet) -- Remains of the 11
Chinese workers killed in the terrorist attack in Afghan northern Kunduz
province will be transferred to Kabul by Afghan military helicopters on Thursday
while the four injured will be transferred by a German C-130 aircraft to the
capital for further treatment.
The two helicopters are scheduled to arrive in Kabul at
9:30 am(local time) on Friday and the remains will be kept temporarily in
Kabul Army Hospital.
The four injured workers will be transferred to a
German medical facility in Pul-e-Charkhi east of Kabul for further treatment.
Two hundred German soldiers are currently stationed in Kunduz province.
A group of some 20 armed men charged into the Chinese
construction workers' compound early Thursday morning and began the cold-blooded
attack, about 36 km outside the city of Kunduz.
The attack, which reportedly lasted 10 minutes, left
11 dead and four others wounded, one of them in critical condition.
The victims were part of the team working on the
Kunduz-Baghlanroad, a project funded by the World Bank.
Chinese ambassador to Afghanistan Sun Yuxi has rushed
to the Kunduz province and held talks with local authorities on the
