กก   BERLIN, June 9 (Xinhuanet) -- About 17 people were injured in a bomb blast in the western German city of Cologne, at least four in serious condition, German News Channel N-TV reported on Wednesday.

The blast hit a three-story building on a shopping street in the suburb of Muelheim District at about 4 p.m. local time (16 GMT), police said. Four victims were seriously injured, one critically, N-TV reported.

It is "apparently an attack", probably targeting at a hairdresser's shop on the floor of the building, it said.

The blast was a nail bomb designed to spew bits of metal, it said.

No further details about the attack are available by now. Enditem
