www.chinaview.cn 2004-05-24 14:20:44

BEIJING, May 24 (Xinhuanet) -- Hong Kong's cult director Wong Kar-wai says his next film will be a Kung Fu movie on Bruce Lee, after his latest movie "2046" . Tony Leung is likely to star as Bruce Lee's master.

He intends to adapt the legendary story of Bruce Lee, or Li Xiaolong in mandarin, and his master during the 1950s for the screen.

Reports say Tony Leung, one of director Wong's favorite stars, is likely to star as Bruce Lee's master in the movie.

Wong has also cooperated with international directors Michelangelo Antonioni and Steven Soderbergh to shoot Eros, which stars Gong Li and Chang Chen.

Eros is expected to compete in the Venice International Film Festival this autumn.
