    BEIJING, May 23 (Xinhuanet)-- The United States Secretary of State Colin Powell Sunday reiterated in a phone talk with Chinese Foreign Minister Li Zhaoxing that the US side will abide by the One-China policy on the Taiwan issue.

    Resources from the Chinese Foreign Ministry said that Chinese Foreign Minister Li Zhaoxing was invited to talk over phone with Powell on Sunday, and the two sides exchanged views on the Iraq issue which is being discussed by the UN Security Council and other issues of Sino-US relations.

    During the phonetalk, the US side reiterated to abide by the one-China policy and the three Sino-US joint communiques on the Taiwan issue. Enditem
