| 42 Indian passengers killed in bus mishap |

NEW DELHI, May 22 (Xinhuanet) -- A total of 42 Indian passengers were killed and 20 injured Saturday when the private bus in which they were traveling plunged into a deep gorge at Shiva Temple, about seven kilometers from Itanagar, Arunachal.
The Press Trust of India quoted police sources as saying that the dead included about 15 women.
There were over 60 passengers on board when the mishap occurred.
Rescue operations have been launched and police teams have been rushed to the spot from Naharlagun and Itanagar police stations. Enditem |
