Explosion hits city hall in southern Philippines

     MANILA, May 14 (Xinhuanet) -- An explosion hit the city hall of General Santos City in the southern Philippines, local television reported Friday.

    The explosion was triggered by a rocket-propelled grenade, the ABS-CBN news channel reported, and it's not clear whether there isany casualties and whether it is election-related.

    The laborious process of vote counting and canvassing is ongoing nationwide in the Philippines as Monday's local and national elections were conducted peacefully in general. Enditem
