BEIJING, May 14 (Xinhuanet) -- The China Art Performance Troupe for the Disables is now in Taipei, to kick off an eight-day performance tour of the island province of Taiwan.

Over 100 people, including fans from as far away as Malaysia, gathered at the airport to greet the handicapped artists from the Chinese mainland. They also took photographs with them.

Head of the troupe Liu Yongze says they will perform "My Dream", a mixture of dance, song and instrumental music that has been staged over 200 times since the year 2000.

The tour is expected to boost friendship and understanding between handicapped people across the Taiwan Straits.
