Earthquake jolts northwest China

    BEIJING, May 11 (Xinhuanet) -- An earthquake measuring 5.9 on the Richter Scale hit Delhi City in northwest China's Qinghai Province at 07:27 am Tuesday, according to China's Seismological Forecast Network.

    The epicenter of the earthquake was about 60 kilometers west ofthe urban area of Delhi City at north latitude 37.4 degrees and east longitude 96.7 degrees.

    The central and provincial seismological bureaus have sent working groups to the affected areas for aftershock forecast and investigation.

    The region were hit by earthquakes above five on the Richter Scale respectively on Feb. 25, March 17 and May 4. Enditem
