Peace process in N. Ireland to be restarted: Irish PM

    LONDON, May 2 (Xinhuanet) -- A roadmap solution to the long-term deadlocked peace process in Northern Ireland has been found, Irish Prime Minister Bertie Ahern said Sunday after talks with his British counterpart Tony Blair in Dublin.

    The two leaders said they were "cautiously optimistic" about restarting the assembly and the power-sharing devolved government in Northern Ireland by the end of this year, according to a BBC report.

    The two leaders met a day after the summit to mark the enlargement of the European Union in the Irish capital. (more)
