GAZA CITY, April 30 (Xinhuanet) -- Israel Army forces partially demolished 19 Palestinian houses during their raid on Khan Yunis in Gazaon Friday, Palestinian security sources said.

The troops entered the town at dawn on Friday and demolished the houses before their withdrawal later in the day.

The troops forced the Palestinian owners to leave their houses without taking anything of their personal effects, the sources said, adding as a result, dozens of Palestinians were displaced.

Israeli army claimed that the houses had been used in launching attacks on a nearby Israeli settlement.

Meanwhile, an explosive charge went off Friday, hitting an Israeli personnel carrier opposite Rafah refugee camp on the southern Gaza Strip border line.

Palestinian security and medical sources said that the Israeli forces opened automatic gunfire at Palestinian houses in an area in Rafah, injuring one child.
