PHNOM PENH, April 26 (Xinhuanet) -- Hong Kong action movie star Jackie Chan has been appointed Monday goodwill ambassador for the United Nations Children's Fund (UNICEF) and UN AIDS agency UNAIDS during his three-day visit to Cambodia.

"UNICEF is delighted that Jackie Chan has designed up to be a Goodwill Ambassador," said UNICEF Executive Director Carol Bellamy.

"I will be calling upon many people to help us fight against HIV/AIDS and to put an end to the senseless discrimination aimed at those who suffer from it," Chen said.

Chen joins more than 20 other global celebrities as goodwill ambassadors. Enditem
