KUWAIT CITY, April 18 (Xinhuanet) -- Kuwait on Sunday reiterated its principled stance rejecting all types of terrorism and condemned Israel's assassination of the leader of the Palestinian Islamic Resistance Movement (Hamas) Abdulaziz Rantisi.

Kuwaiti Council of Ministers, during its weekly cabinet session, reiterated Kuwait's strong condemnation of the terrorist action that the Israeli government committed against Rantisi, Kuwait News Agency reported.

The cabinet said in an official statement, "The cruel crime is part of ongoing Israeli criminal practices against the rights of the Palestinian people and mirrors the terrorism Israel exercises that would wipe out all efforts aimed at achievement of a just and lasting peace in the region."

The statement called for a quick action by the international community to put an end for the Israeli action.

Meanwhile, Kuwaiti Prime Minister Sheikh Sabah Al Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah also voiced the country's denunciation of repeated assassination operations Israeli was carrying out against the Palestinian leaders.

He has sent a cable of condolences to Rantisi's family. Enditem
