Five injured in Canada's college campus blast

    OTTAWA, April 13 (Xinhuanet) -- An explosion has ripped through a building at a college campus in Canada's western province of British Columbia on Tuesday, leaving at least five people injured,reports reaching here said.

    According to police sources, the explosion occurred in a plumbing building at the British Columbia Institute of Technology in the eastern city of Burnaby. At least five people suffered minor injuries in the blast.

    Witnesses said the explosion shook the building like an earthquake, shattering glass and bringing down a roof.

    The Royal Canadian Mounted Police said the Emergency workers are on the scene, and have cut off gas and electricity supplies tothe campus. The cause of the explosion is still unknown. Enditem
