AMMAN, April 8 (Xinhuanet) -- Visiting Palestinian Prime Minister Ahmed Qurei said Thursday here that Israeli Prime Minister Ariel Sharon's plan of unilateral withdrawal from the Gaza Strip will be revealed by the mid of April.

In a press statement issued after meeting with Jordan's Foreign Minister Marwan Muasher, Qurei said they have talked about Israeli withdrawal and evacuation of settlements.

"We have not discussed anything with Israel, and there are contacts with the US in this regards," he added.

Qurei pointed out that his meeting with Muasher came amid a series of Palestinian-Arab meetings and consultations to deal with the situation in the region, with a view to holding the Arab summit.

"Our meeting discussed the unilateral Israeli withdrawal, Jordanian King Abdullah's visit to Washington as well as his meeting with the US president to brief him on the current situation," the Palestinian prime minister said.

For his part, Muasher said their talks touched on a number of issues, including preparations for the upcoming Arab summit, coordination with the Palestinian side and supporting the Palestinian National Authority's efforts to put the peace process back on normal track. Enditem
