Up to a dozen US Marines may be killed in Iraqi attack: Pentagon

    WASHINGTON, April 6 (Xinhuanet) -- Up to a dozen American Marineswere reportedly killed in Iraq Tuesday when their position was attacked near the governor's palace in the city of Ramadi, the Pentagon said.

    Local television reports quoted a senior US defense official said "a significant number" of Marines were killed, and initial reports indicated it might be as many as a dozen. Enditem
