Sri Lanka president's party becomes No.one in Parliament

    COLOMBO, April 4 (Xinhuanet) -- President Chandrika Kumaratunga's United People's Freedom Alliance became the biggest force in Sri Lanka's parliament in Friday's elections, election results showed on Sunday.

    In the 225-seat Parliament, the president's party has won 105 seats, Prime Minister Ranil Wickremesinghe's United National Partyhas secured 82 seats, while the rest seats have gone to other smaller parties. Enditem
