Pakistani police thwart attempt on PM's life

    ISLAMABAD, April 1 (Xinhuanet) -- Pakistani police said on Thursday they foiled a plan to assassinate Prime Minister Zafarullah Khan Jamali in the port city of Karachi, according to local media reports.

    The police added that they had arrested a member of an outlawedIslamic militant group with explosives.
