The Grand Canyon

Located on a highland in the northwest part of Arizona, in the western United States, the Grand Canyon, a world-renowned natural spectacle, takes up an area of about 2,725 square kilometers.

The Canyon is included in the list of the natural heritages that should be preserved by the United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (UNESCO). It is also called the "Colorado Canyon" as the Colorado River runs across it.
