EU slaps record fine on Microsoft

    BRUSSELS, March 24 (Xinhuanet) - The European Union (EU) announcedon Thursday that it would slap a record fine of 497.2 million euros against the US software giant Microsoft for breaking EU competition law.

    The verdict was announced after the talks between them failed to reach a settlement.
