¡¡VIENNA, March 10 (Xinhuanet) -- The UN International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) voted on Wednesday to report Libya to the UN Security Council for its violation of the nuclear non-proliferation treaty (NPT) while praising its efforts in remedyingthe breach, said an IAEA spokesman.

The resolution, which was thought not to seek sanctions on Libya, was passed by the 35-nation board of governors of the UN nuclear watchdog.

In a related development, Libya signed in Vienna Wednesday an additional protocol to the nuclear Non-Proliferation Treaty, allowing inspectors from the International Atomic Energy Agency tocarry out checks on all its nuclear facilities. Enditem
