JERUSALEM, March 9 (Xinhuanet) -- Ten Palestinian protesters were wounded during a clash with Israel Defence Forces (IDF) on Monday in the northwest of Jerusalem, Israeli newspaper Haaretz reported Tuesday.
Hundreds of Palestinian villagers, backed up by Israeli peace activists and International Solidarity Mission volunteers from overseas, clashed with IDF forces in protest against the bulldozersworking on the route of the separation fence near Beit Lakiyeh and Beit Daky, not far from the settlement of Mevo Horon, the report said.
The bulldozers were working in an area near the place where theywere forced to stop a week ago by order of the High Court of Justice.
The clashes involved stone throwing by the protesters and tear gas and rubber-coated steel bullets in response by soldiers, the report said, adding that 10 Palestinians, one Israeli soldier and two of the workers on the fence were wounded.
Last week, two Palestinians were killed during similar demonstrations near the village of Biddu, not far from Monday's clashes. Enditem
