Wen stresses human resource development

    BEIJING, March 5 (Xinhuanet) -- Premier Wen Jiabao Friday called for conscientiously implementing the strategy of reinvigorating China through human resource development, when he delivered a report on the work of the government at the opening of the Second Session of the Tenth National People's Congress Friday.

    Training, recruiting and properly using talented people in all fields should provide substantial personnel and intellectual support for the modernization drive, he said, adding, "We will vigorously implement the strategy of sustainable development and successfully carry out all work related to population, natural resources and the environment in line with the need to balance development of man and nature."

    China will keep the birthrate low and improve the health of newborns, and improve the infrastructure and service system for family planning at the primary level and strengthen the managementof family planning among the floating population, according to thepremier. Enditem
