Norah Jones' "Feels Like Home" tells tales

BEIJING, Feb. 25 (Xinhuanet) -- Norah Jones charmed everybody with her jazzy Grammy-winning debut, Come Away with Me. Feels Like Home is her second album.

The most characteristic thing about this album is that every song tells a little story which seems even more remarkable than the melody or arrangement.

The opener, To Get to You is a mid-tempo tune. It tells of a man who would crawl through the desert or serenade* his lady in the wee hours* of the morning just to prove how much she means to him.

The CD¡¯s highlight is the beautiful ballad I Made a Wish. It¡¯s about a man who yearned* for a lasting love, so he knelt down, closed his eyes and wished for one. It seemed as though the very moment he opened his eyes, the perfect lady was standing right in front of him. He knew he found the woman with whom he wanted to spend the rest of his life. The track¡¯s melody is really attractive.

The title song, You Feel Like Home, is an introspective song where the man thinks about what he is going to do when his love is gone. However, the track isn¡¯t so impressive, so listeners may have trouble remembering it several days after listening.

To sum it up, Feels Like Home is an album that is packed with a bundle* of pleasant songs. This collection is neither ¡°too hard¡± nor ¡°too soft.¡± It is perfectly neutral.
