UN says caucus system in Iraq "not viable"

    UNITED NATIONS, Feb. 23 (Xinhuanet) -- UN Secretary-General's Special Advisor, Lakhdar Brahimi, said in his report on Iraq's electoral process that the caucus system proposed by the United States "is not a viable" option.

    "The Coalition Provisional Authority itself accepts that it would be impractical to try and implement this system, which is totally alien to Iraqis," said the report released Monday. Enditem
