Bomb explosion hits police station in northern Iraq, causing many casualties

    BAGHDAD, Feb. 23 (Xinhuanet) -- A car bomb explosion hit a police station in Iraq's northern city of kirkuk on Monday, causing many casualties, the police said.

    The explosion occurred in the Rahimawa neighborhood about 8:30 a.m. (0530 GMT). It was not clear what caused the explosion so far.

    The explosion heavily damaged the Rahimawa police station in the city and destroyed nearby cars. Enditem
