Tests being carried out on fever cases in HK hospital

    HONG KONG, Feb. 10 (Xinhuanet) -- Hong Kong's Department Health is looking into the cases of a number of patients in Prince of Wales Hospital who have developed fever.

    According to sources from the Department of Health Tuesday, laboratory tests for SARS and influenza are being conducted to identify the cause of illness in Prince of Wales Hospital Ward 8A.

    No hospital medical staff fever cases has been reported and visits to Ward 8A have been suspended.

    Prince of Wales Hospital was one of a major hospitals in Hong Kong for SARS patients treatment in the first half of 2003. Enditem
