HK steps up monitoring of local chicken deaths

    HONG KONG, Feb. 5 (Xinhuanet) -- To step up monitoring of local chicken deaths, the Agriculture, Fisheries and Conservation Department Thursday started to collect carcasses from Hong Kong farms.

    The department said the move would help the department have a better understanding of the number of dead chickens at local farms.

    It said that if abnormal deaths were detected ,the department would collect samples for avian flu testing. Enditem
